In der Region Maniototo um die Stadt Ranfurly gibt es viele solche Namen wie Kyeburn, Gimmerburn, Hoggetburn und Wedderburn, das Gebiet wird daher scherzhaft auch Thomson's Barnyard (Thomsons Bauernhof) genannt.
