ينبغي لمنسق عمليات الإغاثة في حالات الطوارئ، اعتمادا على الوحدات المشاركة في الدراسات التي تجريها إدارة الشؤون الإنسانية عن الدروس المستفادة، وفي تنقيح أو استحداث السياسات والمبادئ التوجيهية، وفي نشر الوثائق ذات الصلة، أن يقترح بحلول نهاية عام 1997 على اللجنة الدائمة المشتركة بين الوكالات إجراء يكفل المتابعة الفعالة للدروس المستفادة وأفضل الممارسات.

Drawing on the units contributing to the Department of Humanitarian Affairs lessons learned studies, to the revision or development of policies and guidelines, and to the dissemination of related documentation, the Emergency Relief Coordinator should propose to the Inter-Agency Standing Committee by the end of 1997 a procedure to ensure effective follow-up on lessons learned and best practices.

Распространение информации о накопленном опыте и наиболее эффективной практике работы: Привлекая подразделения, вносящие вклад в исследования о накопленном Департаментом по гуманитарным вопросам опыте к работе в целях изменения или разработки политики и руководящих принципов и распространения связанной с этим документации, к концу 1997 года Координатору чрезвычайной помощи следует предложить Межучрежденческому постоянному комитету процедуру обеспечения эффективной последующей деятельности, касающейся накопленного опыта и наиболее эффективных методов работы.
