In addition to “Glaube und Heimat” and “Der Weibsteufel”, another of his best-known works is “Die Erde” (Earth) from 1907. Today, Karl Schönherr rests in a grave of honour in Vienna’s central cemetery but traces of his work and influence can still be found in the village of Axams.
