أما العمال المستقلون فهم منتسبون إلى نظام اجتماعي خاص بهم ممول من اشتراكاتهم فقط؛ لكنهم في مجال التأمين الصحي، يستفيدون هم وورثتهم من نفس الاستحقاقات التي يستفيد منها الموظفون.
