When a trafficker is convicted of a criminal offence, he or she is also convicted of a civil offence, for injury or loss caused to the victim, thus enabling the victim to bring a civil action in the civil courts.

Debemos manifestar que cuando existe una condena de carácter penal al tratante, también se le condena civilmente, por los daños y perjuicios ocasionados a la víctima, pudiendo la víctima presentar la demanda civil correspondiente ante los juzgados de lo civil.
