The 5th-century church consists of a central octagon with eight pillars, an exterior octagon with thresholds still in situ, and a gallery or portico that leads both into the interior of the church as well as into a complex of associated buildings to the east, a linkage achieved via a short passageway.

Kirken fra 400-tallet besto av en sentral oktogon (åttekantet) med åtte søyler, en ekstern oktogonal med adkomsten fortsatt in situ og et portico, galleri, som førte både inn til kirkens interiør foruten også inn til et kompleks av assosierte bygninger i øst, en forbindelse oppnådd via en kort korridor eller gangveg.
