ومشروع "الإدارة المستدامة للأراضي في مرتفعات جبال بامير وجبال بامير - آلاي - مبادرة متكاملة وعابرة للحدود في آسيا الوسطى" هو مبادرة مشتركة بين جامعة الأمم المتحدة وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة ومرفق البيئة العالمية، ويتصدى هذا المشروع لمشكلتي تردي الأراضي والفقر المترابطتين في واحدة من "النقاط الساخنة الحرجة في آسيا الوسطى" الحافلة ب "أبراج المياه" الجبلية والتنوع الاحيائي.

The project “Sustainable Land Management in the High Pamir and Pamir-Alai Mountains – an Integrated and Transboundary Initiative in Central Asia,” a joint initiative by UNU, UNEP and the GEF, addresses the interlinked problems of land degradation and poverty within one of Central Asia’s critical mountain “water towers” and biodiversity hotspots.

El objetivo de una iniciativa conjunta de la UNU, del PNUMA y del FMAM, el proyecto "Sustainable Land Management in the High Pamir and Pamir-Alai Mountains - an Integrated and Transboundary Initiative in Central Asia" es resolver los problemas conexos de la degradación de la tierra y la pobreza en una de las "torres de agua" montañosas más importantes con una biodiversidad en situación crítica.

Le Projet sur la gestion durable des terres dans les montagnes du Haut‐Pamir et du Pamir‐Alaï, Initiative intégrée et transfrontière pour l’Asie centrale, est une opération conjointe de l’UNU, du PNUE et du FEM qui s’attaque aux problèmes interdépendants que sont la dégradation des sols et la pauvreté dans une des régions montagneuses d’Asie centrale stratégiques, en ce sens qu’elle constitue un véritable «château d’eau» et renferme un écosystème sensible.
