Only 3 Km separte Irún from Hondarribia.Facing both of them the French city of Hendaya.Even if Irún it is a quite new city we can find important vestiges from the past.Like the church of Santa María del Juncal, from the XVI, with a Baroque façade and a Romanesque image of the saint.

Ambas se encuentran frente a la ciudad francesa de Hendaia, de la que las separa el río Bidasoa. Irún tiene aspecto de ciudad nueva, pero aún se pueden encontrar en ella vestigios importantes del pasado. Uno de ellos es su iglesia de Santa María del Juncal, del s. XVI, con una fachada barroca e imagen de la titular románica.
