Under the framework of the Agreement on the Reunification of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (Arusha Agreement), the co-guarantors, namely the Tanzanian and South African ruling parties, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and the African National Congress (ANC), facilitated a dialogue between the three SPLM factions (the Government, SPLM/A in Opposition and the former detainees) to address leadership and political issues in the party.

Dans le cadre de l’Accord de réunification du Mouvement populaire de libération du Soudan (Accord d’Arusha), les garants, à savoir les partis au pouvoir en Tanzanie et en Afrique du Sud, respectivement Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) et le Congrès national africain (ANC), ont organisé un dialogue entre les trois factions du Mouvement populaire de libération du Soudan (le Gouvernement, le M/APLS dans l’opposition et les anciens détenus) dans le but de régler les différends politiques et les conflits de direction au sein du parti.
