The surgical robot comprises: a main body; a robot arm which is combined with the main body and driven by the operation of a user; a surgical instrument which is combined with the front end of the robot arm; an RFID tag which is mounted on the instrument; and an RFID reader which reads information stored in the RFID tag and is mounted on at least one of the robot arm and main body.

본체부와, 본체부에 결합되며, 사용자의 조작에 따라 구동되는 로봇 암과, 로봇 암의 선단부에 결합되는 수술용 인스트루먼트와, 인스트루먼트에 장착되는 RFID 태그와, RFID 태그에 저장된 정보를 독취하며, 로봇 암 또는 본체부 중 어느 하나 이상에 장착되는 RFID 리더를 포함하는 수술용 로봇은, 수술용 로봇에 장착되는 인스트루먼트에 RFID 태그를 장착함으로써 사용횟수를 무선 방식으로 기록할 수 있고, 사용횟수 외에도 인스트루먼트의 종류, 사용된 횟수, 사용된 병원, 인스트루먼트가 장착된 로봇에 관한 정보 등 다양한 정보를 저장하여 수술과정에서 인스트루먼트의 사용이력을 추적할 수 있으므로 로봇 수술의 안정성 및 신뢰성을 제고시킬 수 있다.
