Engine oil is channeled from an oil passageway (70) inside the internal cylinder part (20) to an oil pan (74) disposed inward of an annular brake part (relative sliding surface) through a groove (26) (communication hole (25)) provided on the surface of a rotary drum (44) positioning spacer (24) in pressure contact with the bolt head (6a), said spacer being arranged on the outer circumference of the internal cylinder part (20).

【解決手段】スプロケ12と相対回動する同軸のカムシャフト2(内筒部20)に回転可能に支承された回転ドラム44を電磁ブレーキ40で制動して、スプロケ12と内筒部20間の位相を変える位相可変装置で、内筒部20をカムシャフト本体2aに一体化する締結ボルト6の頭部6aと内筒部20間に隙S1を設け、内筒部20外周に配した回転ドラム44位置決用スペーサ24のボルト頭部6aとの圧接面に設けた溝26(連通孔25)を介して、内筒部20内のオイル通路70から円環状ブレーキ制動部(相対摺動面)内側のオイル溜り74にエンジンオイルを導く。
