قانون تعديل القانون الجنائي (رقم 21) لعام 2008: يرفع السن الذي لا يجوز دون أن يعاقب الطفل على جريمة من سن يقل عن 7 سنوات إلى 10 سنوات؛ كما لا يجوز أن يعاقب الأطفال الذين كان عمرهم ما فوق 10 سنين ولكنهم لم يكملوا 15 سنة من العمر على جريمة، ولكن يجوز للمحكمة توبيخهم؛ وبالنسبة للأطفال الذين ارتكبوا جريمة ممن أكملوا 15 سنة ولكن لم يبلغوا بعد 18 سنة من العمر، إذا أصدرت المحكمة حكما بإنزال عقوبة، يجب أن يخفض حجم العقوبة بمقدار النصف؛

The Criminal Code Amendment Act (No. 21), 2008, increases the age of children who shall not be punished for an offence from not yet over 7 years to 10 years of age; children above 10 years but not yet over 15 years of age shall not be punished for an offence but shall be reprimanded by the court; and for children above 15 but not yet over 18 years of age having committed an offence, if the court passes judgement inflicting punishment, the scale of punishment shall be reduced by one half;

La Ley de Modificación del Código Penal (núm. 21), de 2008, aumentó de 7 a 10 años la edad mínima para que un niño pueda ser castigado por la comisión de un delito; los niños de más de 10 años pero no mayores de 15 no serán castigados por la comisión de un delito pero sí serán amonestados por el tribunal; y en cuanto a los que tengan más de 15 años pero aún no sean mayores de 18, en caso de que hayan cometido un delito y el juez haya dictado sentencia condenatoria, el castigo se reducirá a la mitad;
