본 발명은 구조물의 변형 및 손상을 감지할 수 있어 구조 건전성 관리 및 상태 감시 등에 사용할 수 있고 이를 이용하여 실시간 구조 변형, 구조 수명 예측 및 손상 정도를 파악할 수 있는 스마트 페인트에 관한 것으로서, 기존의 페인트에 구조 변형 및 손상을 감지할 수 있는 압전재료를 포함하는 것으로 구성되며, 상기 목적을 달성하기 위해, 열경화성 또는 열가소성 수지, 압력감응페인트 등의 도료와; 상기 수지 및 도료와 혼합되어 있는 압전 세라믹 분말과; 상기 도료와 압전 세라믹 분말 혼합물의 바깥 면에 제작된 전극을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 압전재료를 이용한 스마트 페인트 및 스마트 페인트 소자에 관한 것이다.
