ترحب بقيام الأمين العام بتسمية مدير برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي ليتولى قيادة جهود المرحلة الأولى من عملية الإنعاش في أفغانستان، وتدعو مؤسسات ووكالات الأمم المتحدة المعنية، فضلا عن البنك الدولي، وصندوق النقد الدولي، ومصرف التنمية الإسلامي، ومصرف التنمية الآسيوي والمنظمات غير الحكومية المعنية إلى أن تتعاون تعاونا وثيقا مع السلطة المؤقتة والمجتمع المدني الأفغاني في وضع استراتيجية وعملية شاملتين لجهود المرحلة الأولى من عملية الإنعاش والتعمير المبذولة في أفغانستان، والتي ستنفذ متى وحيثما سمحت الظروف؛

Welcomes the designation by the Secretary-General of the administrator of the United Nations Development Programme to lead the early recovery efforts in Afghanistan, and invites the relevant United Nations organizations and agencies, as well as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Islamic Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank and relevant non-governmental organizations, to jointly develop, in close collaboration with the interim authority and Afghan civil society, a comprehensive strategy and process for the early recovery and reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan, to be implemented where and when conditions permit
