Un palier lisse (10) selon l’invention est muni d’une embase (20) de palier, d’un boîtier annulaire (30) de palier supporté au niveau de ses sections (33) de support de charge par l’embase de palier, de patins (40a-40d) montés de façon oscillante dans le boîtier de palier et supportant un tourillon (j) de manière auto-alignée, et un mécanisme d’alimentation en huile servant à amener de l’huile de lubrification aux surfaces portantes (48) des patins.

軸受台20と、該軸受台により複数の荷重支持部33で支持される環状の軸受ハウジング30と、該軸受ハウジング内に揺動可能に配設されジャーナルjを自動調心可能に支持する複数のパッド40a~dと、該パッドの軸受面48に潤滑油を供給する給油機構とを備えたジャーナル軸受10において、荷重支持部33と周方向に外れた位置で軸受台20と軸受ハウジング30とを接続する接続部62を設けると共に、該接続部に軸受台20に設けられた上流側給油路60と軸受ハウジング30に設けられた下流側給油路66を連通させる給油孔62a、64を穿設し、接続部62を介して軸受台20に負荷される軸受ハウジング30の荷重が荷重支持部33を介する荷重よりも小さくなるように構成した。
