وبينما تثق حكومة جمهورية جزر القمر في استعداد السلطات الفرنسية للتعاون على نحو كامل مع سلطات جزر القمر من أجل إيجاد حل تفاوضي ودائم لمشكلة جزيرة مايوت القمرية، فإننا نكرر رغبتنا في أن نرى المجتمع الدولي يشارك في هذا النهج، احتراما منه للقانون وعملا منه بقرارات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة، التي قبلت جزر القمر عضوا في الأمم المتحدة بمجرد تشكيل الكيان القمري الجديد الذي يسمح بعودة مايوت إلى حظيرتها الطبيعية

While the Government of Comoros is confident of the willingness of the French authorities to cooperate fully with their Comoran counterparts in order to find a lasting and negotiated solution to the problem of the Comoran island of Mayotte, we reiterate our desire to see the international community take part in this approach, out of respect for the law and in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations that admitted Comoros to the United Nations, once the new Comoran entity is set up to allow the return of Mayotte to its natural fold

Sin embargo, confiando en la voluntad de las altas autoridades francesas de cooperar plenamente con sus homólogos comoranos con miras a lograr una solución negociada y definitiva del problema de la isla comorana de Mayotte, el Gobierno de las Comoras reitera su deseo de que la comunidad internacional se asocie a esta iniciativa, en el marco del respeto del derecho y de conformidad con las resoluciones pertinentes de las Naciones Unidas, que han admitido a las Comoras en el seno de la Organización, una vez que la nueva entidad comorana esté en vigor, para permitir que Mayotte vuelva a su entorno natural

Несмотря на то, что правительство Коморских Островов уверено в готовности правительства Франции в полной мере сотрудничать с коморскими властями в целях нахождения прочного и основанного на переговорах урегулирования проблемы коморского острова Майотта, мы вновь обращаемся с просьбой к международному сообществу принять участие в этом урегулировании на основе норм права, а также согласно соответствующим резолюциям Организации Объединенных Наций о приеме Коморских Островов в ее члены, с тем чтобы после создания нового коморского государства остров Майотта стал его естественной частью
