Di nuovo poi ai servi ed ai padroni dallo stesso Apostolo viene inculcato il comandamento divino: obbediscano "ai padroni carnali come alla persona di Cristo... servendo con amore come al Signore"; questi alla loro volta "mettano da parte l’asprezza, ben sapendo che il Signore di tutti è nei cieli, e che presso di Lui non v’è preferenza di persone" (Ef 6,5-7).
