Decaying Betula pendula Roth trunks (measuring about 6 m in length) with brown rot or white rot were analyzed for the followings: stage of decay, wood structure, porosity, chemical composition of decayed wood, spatial distribution of fungal biomass, and mycoflora diversity.

Nous avons analysé, dans des troncs de Betula pendula Roth d'environ 6 m de longeur présentant une pourriture blanche ou une pourriture brune, les paramètres suivants : l'état de dégradation et la structure du bois, la porosité, la composition chimique du bois pourri, la répartition spatiale de la biomasse fongique et la diversité de la mycoflore.
