การสะท้อนของแสง (Reflection) เป็นปรากฏการณ์ที่แสงมีการเปลี่ยนทิศทางการเคลื่อนที่ที่บริเวณรอยต่อของตัวกลาง 2 ชนิด โดยแสงจะเคลื่อนที่ย้อนกลับไปในตัวกลางเดิม แสงอาจเกิดการสะท้อนสมบูรณ์ (specular reflection) เช่นการสะท้อนผ่านกระจกเงา หรือสะท้อนไม่สมบูรณ์ (diffuse reflection) ซึ่งสูญเสียภาพเชิงฟิสิกส์แต่อนุรักษ์พลังงาน
