is a tourist settlement 28 km to the south of Šibenik, located on an islet not far away from the mainland. During the period of Turkish invasions the islet was protected by defence walls with towers and a movable bridge built in 1542. Primošten was called Caput Cista (a bare head) in old documents.

Primošten, turističko mjesto 28 km južno od Šibenika, smješten je na otočiću nedaleko kopna, koji je 1542. godine, u vrijeme opasnosti od Turaka, zaštićen bedemima i pokretnim mostom. U starim se dokumentima Primošten naziva Caput Cista (Gola Glava), dok se pod današnjim imenom prvi put spominje 1564. godine.
