ويعترف القانون الوطني 26061 لعام 2005 بشأن الحماية الشاملة لحقوق الأحداث بأن للأطفال والمراهقين حقوقا، كما يحذف مذهب السلطة الأبوية ويتجه صوب نموذج للحماية المتكاملة المكرسة في اتفاقية حقوق الطفل.

National Law 26,061 of 2005 on the Comprehensive Protection of the Rights of Juveniles recognizes children and adolescents as having rights, abolishes the doctrine of paternal authority, and moves towards a model of integrated protection enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

La Ley Nacional de Protección Integral de los Derechos de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes N° 26061 del año 2005. Reconoce a los mismos como sujetos plenos de derechos, abandonando la doctrina del patronato y transitando hacia un modelo de protección integrado consagrado en la Convención de los Derechos de Niño.
