El río Clamoux se pierde justo a la salida del pueblo de Cabrespine y cerca de 10 meses al año, río abajo de esta pérdida, no es más que un lecho de guijarros, ya que toda el agua va al fondo de la Sima, en detrimento de los habitantes de los pueblos río abajo que ya en la Edad Media deploraban esta captura del agua. La tradición popular decía que el agua resurgía por encima de Lastours, en la resurgencia del “Prestil”.
