In pursuing Canada’s international security agenda, the department makes use of the full range of Canada’s diplomatic tools and assets, notably its network of missions, which include the Canadian Joint Delegation to NATO in Brussels, the Permanent Mission to the International Organizations and the Delegation of Canada to the OSCE in Vienna.

Afin d'exécuter le plan d'action du Canada en matière de sécurité internationale, le Ministère recourt à un éventail complet d'outils et de ressources diplomatiques, notamment son réseau de missions, lequel englobe la Délégation conjointe du Canada auprès de l'OTAN à Bruxelles, ses missions permanentes auprès des organisations internationales et la délégation du Canada auprès de l'OSCE à Vienne.
