ويحتل الاتحاد الدولي للمهندسين والعلماء المستخدمين للغة الفرنسية، مكانة خاصة وفي صفوف الاتحاد الدولي للرابطات والمنظمات التقنية نظرا لأنه متفرع عنه وعضو نشط فيه، وفي الآن ذاته، كما أنه يؤمّن الاتصال بين الأعضاء الناطقين بالفرنسية أو الأقسام الناطقة بالفرنسية التابعة للأعضاء الدوليين في الاتحاد الدولي للرابطات والمنظمات التقنية.

Within the International Union of Technical Associations and Organizations, the international union of French-speaking engineers and scientists (Union internationale des ingénieurs et scientifiques utilisant la langue française) has a special position, for it is both an offshoot and an active member, and it serves as a link between the French-speaking members or other Francophone sections of international members of the International Union of Technical Associations and Organizations.
