تشير أيضا إلى أنها قد حددت في قرارها 52/12 باء مهام نائب الأمين العام وفترة توليه منصبه، وتقرر أنه ينبغي لهذه المهام أن تتفق والقرار المذكور أعلاه ولا ينبغي أن تحجّم دور الأمين العام أو مسؤولياته بصفته المسؤول الإداري الأول للمنظمة، وذلك في عدة مجالات من بينها السياسات الإدارية والمسائل التنفيذية العامة؛

Recalls also that in its resolution 52/12 B the General Assembly identified functions of the post of the Deputy Secretary-General and the duration of its term of office, and decides that the functions of the post should be in accordance with the above resolution and should not diminish the role or responsibilities of the Secretary-General as the chief administrative officer of the Organization, including in management policies and overall operational matters;

Recuerda también que en su resolución 52/12 B determinó las funciones del puesto de Vicesecretario General y la duración de su mandato, y decide que las funciones del puesto se ajustarán a lo dispuesto en la mencionada resolución y no mermarán ni la función ni las responsabilidades del Secretario General como más alto funcionario administrativo de la Organización, especialmente en materia de políticas de gestión y cuestiones operacionales de carácter general;

Rappelle également que dans sa résolution 52/12 B, elle a énuméré les attributions du Vice-Secrétaire général et fixé la durée de son mandat, et décide que les fonctions du Vice-Secrétaire général doivent être conformes à la résolution susmentionnée et ne rien enlever au rôle ou aux responsabilités qui incombent au Secrétaire général en sa qualité de plus haut fonctionnaire de l’Organisation, notamment en ce qui concerne les politiques de gestion et les questions opérationnelles générales;

напоминает также, что в своей резолюции 52/12 B Генеральная Ассамблея определила должностные функции первого заместителя Генерального секретаря и срок его полномочий, и постановляет, что функции этой должности должны соответствовать положениям вышеупомянутой резолюции и не должны принижать роль или уровень обязанностей Генерального секретаря как главного административного должностного лица Организации, в том числе в стратегических вопросах управления и в вопросах общего руководства оперативной деятельностью;
