A three-position safety attached at the rear of the bolt which operating lever can be flicked from right (safety on, bolt locked) to middle (safety on, bolt can be opened for reloading), to left (ready to fire), but only when the rifle is cocked; otherwise, the safety will not move.

Un seguro con tres posiciones unido a la parte posterior del cerrojo, cuya palanca puede ser girada desde la derecha (seguro puesto, cerrojo bloqueado), al centro (seguro puesto, se puede abrir el cerrojo para recargar) y a la izquierda (arma lista para disparar), pero solamente cuando el fusil está amartillado, de lo contrario el seguro no se moverá.
