И кажи: Слушайте словото на ГОСПОДА, юдови царе и ерусалимски жители! Така казва ГОСПОД на Войнствата, Израилевият Бог: Ето, ще докарам на това място зло, от което на всекиго, който чуе за него, ще му писнат ушите. 4 Защото Ме оставиха и направиха чуждо това място, като кадиха в него на други богове, които не познаваха нито те, нито бащите им, нито юдовите царе, и напълниха това място с кръвта на невинни, 5 и съградиха високите места на Ваал, за да горят синовете си в огън за всеизгаряния на Ваал — което не съм заповядал и не съм говорил, и на ум не Ми е идвало!

JPS_ASV_Byz(i) 3 and say: Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle; 4 because they have forsaken Me, and have estranged this place, and have offered in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah; and have filled this place with the blood of innocents; 5 and have built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons in the fire for burnt-offerings unto Baal; which I commanded not, nor spoke it, neither came it into My mind.
