Hence We earnestly exhort in the Lord all those who hold the reins of power that they establish and maintain firmly harmony and friendship with this Church of Christ so that through the united activity and energy of both powers the tremendous evils, fruits of those wanton liberties which assail both marriage and the family and are a menace to both Church and State, may be effectively frustrated.

Y así encarecidamente exhortamos en el Señor a todos los investidos con la suprema potestad civil a que procuren y mantengan la concordia y amistad con la misma Iglesia de Cristo, para que, mediante la cooperación diligente de ambas potestades, se destierren los gravísimos males que amenazan tanto a la Iglesia como a la sociedad, si penetran en el matrimonio y en la familia tan procaces libertades.

Pertanto, vivamente esortiamo nel Signore quanti hanno la suprema potestà civile ad entrare in concorde amicizia, e sempre più rafforzarla, con questa Chiesa di Cristo, affinché mediante la collaborazione e la solerte opera della duplice potestà si allontanino i danni enormi che, per le irruenti e procaci libertà contro il matrimonio e la famiglia, minacciano non solo la Chiesa, ma la stessa civile società.
