وقد أحاط المجلس، بذلك القرار نفسه، وكذلك الجمعية، بمقررها، علما بعزم المحكمة الدولية على إكمال النظر في قضية كراييشنيك قبل نهاية نيسان/أبريل 2006، مما يبقي خدمة القاضي كانيفل في المحكمة الدولية ضمن فترة السنوات الثلاث المسموح فيها للقضاة المخصصين بالخدمة في المحاكمات خلال فترة ولايتهم، وذلك عملا بالمادة 13 ثالثا (2) من النظام الأساسي للمحكمة الدولية.

The Council, by that same resolution, as well as the Assembly, by its decision, took note of the International Tribunal’s intention to finish the Krajišnik case before the end of April 2006, which would have kept Judge Canivell’s service at the International Tribunal within the period of the three years for which ad litem judges are allowed to serve in trials during their term, pursuant to article 13 ter (2) of the statute of the International Tribunal.

Por la misma resolución, el Consejo de Seguridad, así como la Asamblea General en virtud de su decisión, tomaron nota de la intención del Tribunal Internacional de concluir la causa Krajišnik antes de fines de abril de 2006, lo cual habría mantenido en funciones al Magistrado Canivell en el Tribunal Internacional durante los tres años en que se permite que los magistrados ad lítem presten servicios en causas durante su mandato, en virtud de lo dispuesto en el artículo 13 ter (2) del Estatuto del Tribunal Internacional.

В той же резолюции Совет и Ассамблея в том же решении приняли к сведению намерение Международного трибунала завершить рассмотрение дела Краишника до конца апреля 2006 года, что позволило бы судье Канивелю продолжать исполнять свои обязанности в Международном трибунале в течение периода времени, предусмотренного для судей ad litem согласно статье 13 тер (2) Устава Международного трибунала.
