ΥΠΟΓΡΑΜΜΙΖΕΙ τη στρατηγική πρόκληση που αντιπροσωπεύει ο έλεγχος των τεχνολογιών της πληροφορίας και ΠΑΡΟΤΡΥΝΕΙ, εν προκειμένω, την Επιτροπή να εξετάσει μέχρι ποιο βαθμό οι κοινοτικές πολιτικές μπορούν να αποτελούν πλαίσιο που θα διευκολύνει τη συμβολή των συστημάτων δορυφορικής επικοινωνίας στην κοινωνία της πληροφορίας και θα προωθεί σχέδια ΕΤΑ στον τομέα αυτόν, από κοινού με τον ΕΟΔ και τους ευρωπαϊκούς φορείς των συστημάτων εφαρμογής.

6) PONE DE RELIEVE el reto estratégico que supone el dominio de las tecnologías de la información y, en este sentido, ANIMA a la Comisión a que examine en qué medida las políticas comunitarias pueden servir de marco para facilitar la contribución de los sistemas de comunicación por satélite a la sociedad de la información y favorecer proyectos de investigación y desarrollo tecnológico en este ámbito, conjuntamente con la AEE y los operadores europeos de los sistemas de aplicación.
