عرض النتائج الأولية لإحصاء السكان والمساكن في 18 آذار/مارس 2002، فضلا عن مقارنة هذه النتائج بالبيانات النهائية لإحصاء 7 كانون الثاني/يناير 1992، يوفر معلومات لوصف الحالة الراهنة في رومانيا فيما يتعلق بما يلي: عدد السكان والتركيب الديموغرافي لهم، وعدد الأسر المعيشية، واحتياطي المساكن، والظروف المعيشية للسكان.

The presentation of the preliminary results of the 18 March 2002 Population and Housing Census, as well as the comparison between these results and the final data of the 7 January 1992 Census, provide information for the description of the present situation in Romania as regards: the number and demographic structure of the population, the number of households, the housing stock and living conditions of the population.

La presentación de los resultados preliminares del censo de población y vivienda del 18 de mayo de 2002, así como la comparación entre estos resultados y los datos definitivos arrojados por el censo del 7 de enero de 1992, brindan información que permite describir la situación actual de Rumania en lo que hace al número de habitantes y la estructura demográfica, el número de familias y de viviendas y las condiciones de vida de la población.
