تلاحظ باهتمام الأنشطة التي تضطلع بها اللجنة الكمبودية الحكومية لحقوق الإنسان، ولجنة حقوق الإنسان وتلقي الشكاوى التابعة للجمعية الوطنية، ولجنة حقوق الإنسان وتلقي الشكاوى التابعة لمجلس الشيوخ، وترحب بالجهود الأولية الرامية إلى إنشاء لجنة وطنية مستقلة لحقوق الإنسان ينبغي أن ترتكز على المعايير الدولية مثل المبادئ المتعلقة بمركز المؤسسات الوطنية لتعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان ("مبادئ باريس")، وتطلب إلى المفوضية السامية توفير المشورة والمساعدة التقنية فيما يتصل بهذه الجهود؛

Toma nota con interés de las actividades realizadas por el Comité de derechos humanos del Gobierno de Camboya, la Comisión de derechos humanos y recepción de denuncias de la Asamblea Nacional y la Comisión de derechos humanos y recepción de denuncias del Senado, acoge con satisfacción las gestiones preliminares para establecer una comisión nacional independiente de derechos humanos que debería basarse en las normas internacionales, tales como los Principios relativos al estatuto de las instituciones nacionales de promoción y protección de los derechos humanos (Principios de París), y pide a la Oficina del Alto Comisionado que proporcione asesoramiento y asistencia técnica para esas actividades
