Θα μελετηθούν η διάβρωση και η εναπόθεση αλάτων σε συμβατικά γεωθερμικά συστήματα, υψηλής και χαμηλής ενθαλπίας, όπως επίσης και τα προβλήματα που σχετίζονται με την επανέγχυση χρησιμοποιημένων υγρών, με στόχο να διευρυνθεί η δυνατότητα διάθεσης κατάλληλων γεωθερμικών πόρων.
