Entre estas contribuciones están los avances en las investigaciones de la malaria a través del centro de investigación que financiamos en Mozambique, los logros en salud y habitabilidad gracias a las intervenciones en materia de agua y saneamiento en América Latina, el fortalecimiento institucional y el fomento de los sistemas democráticos en los países con los que trabajamos, el impulso a la igualdad de oportunidades para mujeres y hombres, la preservación del medio ambiente y a la vez el fomento del desarrollo rural y la seguridad alimentaria, y otros resultados en materia de gobernabilidad, fortalecimiento de la paz, erradicación del trabajo infantil, acceso a la educación, etc.
