The Curonian Spit is a unique monument, light multisided strip of a land, uniqueness of which is comprised of relief created by the sea and wind, the highest spit in the whole Northern Europe, Lagoon marl prints, remains of former Lagoon‘s forest and soil brought by the wind and constant interesting eolic processes.

Le cordon littoral de Courlande est un monument unique, une parcelle de terre claire, dont l‘unicité comprend le relief créé par la mer et le vent, les dunes du sable les plus hautes dans l‘Europe du nord, le résidu de la marne de la lagune, les restes balayées de la foret ancienne des dunes aussi que les terres et les processus éoliens intéressants qui ne cessent jamais.

К настоящей уникальности в большой мере причастен человек, который после безжалостного уничтожения лесов на Куршской косе сам начал восстановительные работы. Процесс восстановления был длинным и тяжелым, поэтому настоящая натуральная и интродуктированная растительность, редкие и только этому краю характерные растения, их сообщества, места обитания требуют особенной опеки.
