Although the WAAS integrity monitor is very reliable, good airmanship nevertheless dictates that pilots verify the final approach waypoint (FAWP) crossing altitude depicted on approach plates with Lateral Navigation/Vertical Navigation (LNAV/VNAV) and Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) minima, in the same way that the beacon crossing altitude is checked when flying an ILS approach.
