본 발명은 천연가스, 석탄 또는 바이오매스 등의 가스화에 의해 생성되는 합성가스를 이용하여 액체 탄화수소를 제조하기 위한 피셔-트롭시 합성용 코발트 촉매 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의해 제조된 피셔 트롭시 합성용 코발트계 촉매는 저온에서 코발트 나노입자가 형성되어 촉매 입자의 화학적, 물리적 변화를 막을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 촉매 입자 표면에 산소결핍이 유도되어 환원성이 높아지므로 피셔 트롭시 합성에 적용하는 경우 일산화탄소의 전환율 및 액체탄화수소의 선택성이 개선된다.
