본 발명에 따른 방송콘텐츠의 부가정보 제공 방법은 음성특징추출서버에서 수행되고, 방송콘텐츠의 오디오특징데이터를 추출하여 미리 설정된 단위로 그룹화한 음성특징정보를 구비된 저장 공간에 저장하는 단계 및 저장된 하나 이상의 음성특징정보 중 시청자단말기로부터 수신된 음성특징데이터에 상응하는 음성특징정보를 검출하여 시청자단말기로 전송하는 단계를 포함하되, 시청자단말기는 입력된 오디오신호에서 미리 설정된 방법에 따라 음성특징데이터를 추출하여 음성특징추출서버로 전송하고, 수신된 음성특징정보에서 음성특징데이터에 대응되는 시간적위치를 판단하며, 시간적위치에 상응하는 부가정보를 디스플레이하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
