Die Erfindung betrifft eine Brennkraftmaschine mit mehreren Zylindern mit mindestens einem Zylinderkopf (10), wobei Einlasskanäle (12) des Zylinderkopfes (10) an einer Einlassflanschfläche (16) und Auslasskanäle (14) an einer gegenüberliegenden Auslassflanschfläche (18) münden und oberhalb eines Raumes im Zylinderkopf (10), der die Ein- und Auslasskanäle (12, 14) und einen Kühlmittelraum (20) aufnimmt, wenigstens ein Ölraum (26) für eine Betätigungsvorrichtung für Gaswechselventile vorgesehen ist, wobei die Einlassflanschfläche (16) und die Auslassflanschfläche (18) gegeneinander geneigt angeordnet sind, so dass eine gedachte Schnittgerade (22) der beiden Flanschflächen (16, 18) oberhalb des Zylinderkopfes (10) liegt und der Zylinderkopf (10) einen zumindest im Wesentlichen dreiecksförmigen Querschnitt aufweist, sowie ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer solchen Brennkraftmaschine.

The invention relates to a combustion engine comprising a plurality of cylinders and with at least one cylinder head (10), inlet channels (12) of the cylinder head (10) opening onto an inlet flange surface (16) and outlet channels (14) opening onto an outlet flange surface (18) which is arranged opposite, and at least one oil chamber (26) for an actuation device for two-way gas valves being provided above a chamber in the cylinder head (10) holding the inlet and outlet channels (12, 14) and a coolant chamber (20), the inlet flange surface (16) and the outlet flange surface (18) being arranged at an incline to one another such that an imaginary line (22) intersecting the two flange surfaces (16, 18) lies above the cylinder head (10), and such that the cylinder head (10) has a cross-section which is at least substantially triangular.
