وبدأ بتلخيص أثر الأشعة فوق البنفسجية وتفاعلات تغير المناخ على صحة الإنسان والهواء وكيمياء الماء وعلى النظم الإيكولوجية الأرضية والمائية، ومواد البناء من حيث الآثار المتوقعة في نهاية القرن الحادي والعشرين، ثم أشار إلى عدد من الآثار التي يمكن ملاحظتها حالياً، وخاصة في نصف الكرة الأرضية الجنوبي.
