It is with a special feeling of respect, aware of my limitations, that I have undertaken the research, study, and then the compilation of the history of Vinica area – rich in cultural monuments, filled with living faith, an area of advanced agriculture, an administrative and, in a way, a health and cultural centre; this area was not only where counts and noblemen came, this is a scenery admired by the bans, bishops, and heirs apparent – all this was not easy to integrate and tell the story about the past and the present for the future.

S osobitim osjećajem poštovanja i svijesti nedostatnosti i nedoraslosti prihvatio sam se istraživanja, proučavanja, obrađivanja, a potom i sastavljanja povijesti viničkoga kraja – bogatoga spomenicima kulture, ispunjenoga življenom vjerom, kraja naprednoga gospodarstva, upravnog te u užem smislu zdravstvenog i obrazovnog središta; u ovaj vinički kraj nije stupila samo grofovska i plemićka noga, to je krajolik kojemu su se divili bani, biskupi, ali i prijestolonasljednici – sve to nije bilo lako objediniti i ispričati priču o prošlosti i sadašnjosti za budućnost.
