Disclosed is a transmission for a bicycle, comprising: a sprocket support unit which is rotationally supported on a hub spindle unit to which the wheels of the bicycle are coupled, and which has a plurality of sprockets supported on the outside thereof; a latch unit which is provided between the hub spindle unit and the sprocket support unit such that the latch unit allows the sprocket support unit to rotate in one direction while restraining the rotation in the opposite direction; a latch control unit which selectively controls the latch unit such that the sprocket support unit can freely rotate with respect to the hub spindle unit in the opposite direction so as to enable the gears to be shifted while in a stopped state.

L'invention porte sur une transmission pour une bicyclette, qui comprend : une unité de support de pignon qui est supportée de façon rotative sur une unité d'axe de moyeu à laquelle sont accouplées les roues de la bicyclette, et qui possède une pluralité de pignons supportés sur la partie extérieure de cette unité ; une unité de verrou qui est placée entre l'unité d'axe de moyeu et l'unité de support de pignon de telle sorte que l'unité de verrou permet à l'unité de support de pignon de tourner dans une première direction tout en limitant la rotation dans la direction opposée ; une unité de commande de verrou qui commande sélectivement l'unité de verrou de telle sorte que l'unité de support de pignon peut tourner librement par rapport à l'unité d'axe de moyeu dans la direction opposée de façon à permettre le changement de rapports à l'état arrêté.
