An outstanding sign of this zealous favor towards the Ruthenian rite may be seen in the new Roman edition of its liturgical books begun in our pontificate and already in part happily accomplished. In this edition the Apostolic See, gladly assenting to the wishes of the Ruthenian bishops, has endeavored to restore their liturgical rites in accordance with their venerated ancient traditions.

Testimonianza illustre di questo benevolo interessamento per il rito ruteno si può vedere nelle nuova edizione romana dei Libri Sacri, cominciata sotto il Nostro pontificato e in parte già felicemente compiuta, per cui la sede apostolica, accondiscendendo molto volentieri ai desideri dei vescovi ruteni, si è sforzata di restituire i loro riti liturgici alle loro avite e venerande forme antiche.
