This was an adaptation of the "Perspecta Sound" directional sound system introduced by Paramount and MGM which used similar control tones (30, 35 and 40 c.p.s.) recorded along with the normal mono optical track to move the apparent source of the sound between three speakers behind the screen. "Around the World in 80 Days" ran for two years at the Astoria, Charing Cross Road, in London, using the "Cinestage" system.
