The purpose of the present invention is to inhibit any excessive increase in the amount of HC emission in a compression-ignition multifuel internal combustion engine capable of mixed combustion of a liquid fuel that can be subjected to compression ignition and a gas fuel having methane as the principal component.

本発明は、圧縮着火することが可能な液体燃料とメタンを主成分とするガス燃料とを混合燃焼させることが可能な圧縮着火式の多種燃料内燃機関において、HCの排出量の過剰な増加を抑制することを目的とする。 本発明では、多種燃料内燃機関の運転状態に基づいて、液体燃料とガス燃料との要求混合比率及び要求HC排出量を算出する(S103,S104)。
