There is provided a detergent which contains surfactants and sequestering agents and which includes a combination of a) one or more nonionic surfactants, and b) one or more amphoteric surfactants, said surfactants a) and b) functioning well in hard water, do not precipitate calcium carbonate during the washing process, and have a low foaming profile, and c) a sequestering agent in the form of a mixture of c1) sodium carbonate and c2) a sodium salt or potassium salt of a carboxylic acid capable of functioning as a sequestering agent, or a mixture of such salts.

On décrit un détergent qui contient des agents tensioactifs et des complexants et qui comprend une combinaison de a) un ou plusieurs agents tensioactifs non-ioniques et b) un ou plusieurs agents tensioactifs amphotères, lesdits agents tensioactifs a) et b) fonctionnant bien dans l'eau calcaire, ne précipitant pas le carbonate de calcium au cours du lavage et présentant un faible pouvoir moussant, et c) un complexant sous forme d'un mélange de c1) carbonate de sodium et c2) un sel de sodium ou de potassium d'un acide carboxylique susceptible d'agir comme complexant, ou un mélange de ces sels.
