Forskningsindsatsen paa dette omraade vil sikre en solid forksningsinfrastruktur som grundlag for en konkurrencedygtig, effektiv og baeredygtig primaerproduktion og agroindustriel sektor; som stoette for EF-politikken (navnlig de vigtigste EF-politikker for landbrug, landdistrikter, fiskeri, miljoe og det indre marked) og til imoedekommelse af samfundets forventninger til differentierede levnedsmidler af hoej naerings- og sundhedsvaerdi, hvor ogsaa de smagsmaessige egenskaber indgaar i kvalitetskriteriet, samt nye nonfoodprodukter, alt sammen baseret paa miljoeforenelig landbrugs- og levnedsmiddelproduktion.

Die Forschung in diesem Bereich wird eine starke wissenschaftliche Basis für eine wettbewerbsfähige, effiziente und dauerhafte Primärproduktion und Agro-Industrie bereitstellen, um die sich entwickelnden Gemeinschaftspolitiken zu unterstützen (insbesondere die bedeutenden Gemeinschaftspolitiken für Landwirtschaft, Entwicklung des ländlichen Raumes, Fischerei, Umwelt und den Binnenmarkt) und um den gesellschaftlichen Bedürfnissen nach einer Vielzahl gesunder und nahrhafter Lebensmittel, deren organoleptische Eigenschaften Bestandteil des Qualitätskriteriums sind, und neuer Nichtnahrungsprodukte, die umweltverträglich erzeugt werden, zu entsprechen.

Η έρευνα στο πεδίο αυτό θα εξασφαλίσει τη δημιουργία ισχυρής επιστημονικής υποδομής, η οποία θα αποτελεί τα θεμέλια μιας ανταγωνιστικής, αποδοτικής και αειφόρου πρωτογενούς και γεωργοβιομηχανικής παραγωγής, την υποστήριξη των διαρκώς εξελισσομένων πολιτικών της Κοινότητας (ιδιαίτερα των κυριοτέρων κοινοτικών πολιτικών στους τομείς της γεωργίας, της αλιείας, του περιβάλλοντος και της εσωτερικής αγοράς), της αγροτικής ανάπτυξης, καθώς και την ικανότητα ανταπόκρισης στις ανάγκες της κοινωνίας για ένα ευρύ φάσμα υγιεινών και θρεπτικών ειδών διατροφής οι οργανοληπτικές ιδιότητες των οποίων αποτελούν κριτήριο ποιότητας, και καινοτόμων καταναλωτικών προϊόντων εκτός τροφίμων, εξασφαλίζοντας, ταυτοχρόνως, γεωρική και γεωργοβιομηχανική παραγωγή με φροντίδα για τη διατήρηση του περιβάλλοντος.

Research in this area will provide a strong scientific research base for competitive, efficient and sustainable primary production and agro-industrial sector; to support the evolving Community policies (especially the major Community policies of Agriculture, Rural Development, Fisheries, Environment and the Internal Market) and to respond to societal needs for a wide range of healthy and nutritious food, whose organoleptic properties shall be one of the criteria for determining quality, and new non-food products which are produced compatible with the environment.

La investigación en este campo proporcionará una sólida infraestructura de investigación científica en la que se apoyen una producción y un sector agroindustrial competitivos, eficaces y viables, en el fomento de las políticas comunitarias en evolución (en especial las principales políticas comunitarias en relación con la agricultura, el desarrollo rural, la pesca, el medio ambiente y el mercado interior) así como en la capacidad de responder a las aspiraciones de la sociedad en materia de diversificación de alimentos sanos y nutritivos, en los que las propiedades organolépticas entren a formar parte del criterio de calidad, y de innovación en productos no alimenticios, al tiempo que se garantizan una producción agraria y agroindustrial que tenga en cuenta la protección del medio ambiente.

Het betrokken onderzoek zal een degelijke wetenschappelijke grondslag leggen voor een concurrerende, efficiënte en duurzame primaire en agro-industriële produktie. Voorts gaat het erom de ontwikkelingen in het communautaire beleid (vooral de belangrijkste communautaire beleidsterreinen landbouw, plattelandsontwikkeling, visserij, milieu en de interne markt) te ondersteunen en in te spelen op de behoefte van onze samenleving aan een gevarieerd aanbod van gezonde en voedzame levensmiddelen, waarvan ook de organoleptische eigenschappen worden betrokken in de beoordeling van de kwaliteit, met inachtneming van milieuvriendelijke produktiemethoden in de landbouw en de agro-industrie.
