Según ese informe del MoD, la Flota del Norte, que ya está en alerta de combate total, fue avisada de este incidente ayer mismo por parte del caza submarino Severomorsk, actualmente en operaciones en el Mediterráneo que reportó que se detectaron anomalías eléctricas atmosféricas de gran extensión sobre el sur de Francia, el occidente de Italia y el suroeste de Suiza.
