ورغم توقع انتهاء أربع عمليات رئيسية في أفريقيا وتطبيق البنود المتعلقة بانتفاء صفة اللاجئ، دُعيّت المفوضية والحكومات المضيفة إلى إتاحة إجراءات تحديد صفة اللاجئ لكل واحد من اللاجئين المتبقيين المطالبين بذلك بشكل مشروع، والحرص على تفادي عمليات الإعادة القسرية.

Despite the anticipated conclusion of four major operations in Africa and invocation of cessation clauses, UNHCR and host Governments were urged to ensure that individual status determination procedures would be available for all remaining refugees who maintained a legitimate claim, and that there would be no forced repatriations.

Pese a la conclusión antes de lo previsto de cuatro grandes operaciones en África y la invocación de cláusulas de cese, se instó al ACNUR y a los gobiernos de acogida a que velaran por que todos los refugiados legítimos que quedaran dispusieran de procedimientos para que se determinara su condición y por que no hubiera repatriaciones forzadas.

Несмотря на ожидаемое завершение четырех крупных операций в Африке и применение положений о прекращении деятельности, в адрес УВКБ и правительств принимающих стран поступил настоятельный призыв обеспечить предоставление возможности воспользоваться процедурами определения индивидуального статуса всем оставшимся беженцам, обратившимся с ходатайствами на законных основаниях, и не применять принудительную репатриацию.
