وقد طرحت بعض المبادرات في هذا الصدد بواسطة الشراكات في مجال الإدارة البيئية لبحار شرق آسيا من خلال نظام شهادة الأيزو، وبواسطة المعهد الدولي للمحيطات/برنامج التعلم المتعلق بالمحيطات من خلال نظام الاعتماد التابع لمعهد الهندسة والعلوم والتكنولوجيا البحرية.

Some initiatives in this respect have been initiated by Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia through the ISO certification system, and the International Ocean Institute OceanLearn Programme through the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology accreditation system.
